Frixie's Friend

A tiny fairy came to our window
Her wings were gossamer green
She flittered and flourished about
Until she was sure she was seen
As she had come to see our girl Frixie
To see if she fancied a flight
But all her power was used up now
So she couldn't even if she might.

WORDS OF WONDER

Words of wonder, all mixed up
We can choose them as we wish
Place them carefully, line them up
Like tealeaves left in a cup

They fly around the head inside
Waiting, pouncing, your thoughts to entice
To use them all or use them right
To end a war or to start a fight

Innocent gossamer, they have no form
Until they are placed, until they are worn
A single word means so little alone
But line them up and dreams can be born

Magical mystery, ethereal night
Written as history and written just right
We know so little, yet think so much
We think we are so important, always in a rush

When one word is broken another can mend
Put them together a message to send
Whispers in darkness, a truth now to speak
If you will only ask now
If only you will seek.

Who can guess where we will go

Organic silver, hull so strong
Shooting earthbound, it won't take long
